Here's the easiest one. For blog #9, if you can predict the exact date of the first full-day snow day, you will win a $5 gift certificate to Uncommon Grounds! To win, you have to guess the exact day. So, bust out your calendars and make your picks. Please note that whoever chooses a date first wins the competition; my advice is don't choose the same date as someone else. Also, you have to actually remind me because I will probably forget. |

I think the first snow day of this school year will be on December 14. I think this is the perfect date for a snow day because it is far enough into the school year for the snow to have built up and hardened from the cold. I have noticed that most of our snow days usually are in mid to late January, but there have been times where the first snow day was in late November to the middle of December. I chose the 14th specifically because it is a Friday, which would cause a three day weekend. I did not choose the Monday after because it is the week before holiday break, and the snow day decider might not see the point to a snow day then.

My guess is December 13th since it’s near the middle of December when heavy snow begins to fall.

I think that the first snow day of this school year will be on December 10. I think that December 10 is a good date because it is right when winter is starting to set in, and hopefully beguin really snowing. Honestly it can be very unpredictable because some years we have a snow day before Thanksgiving, and some years we don’t even have snow on Christmas. I think overal early December is a very safe guess for when our first snow day will be.

I believe that our first snow day will land on the third of December.
