- The multiple choice test is worth 45% of your overall AP Exam grade, so you need to see what it's all about.
- The average score for AP Language & Composition multiple choice tests is approximately 50% year to year, so you need to improve through practice.
- Before you get into the “real” reading of the class, it may be instructive to experience examples of the advanced passages, and the types and level of the questions on the AP Exam.
- After grappling with some of these advanced passages, you will better understand why you are reading what we do.
- It’s hopefully very rewarding to realize how reading passages and an exam that may seem nearly impossible in September become achievable in May; it will hopefully be meaningful to see your progress on this test as the year goes by.

- Reach consensus on a group answer sheet. If you absolutely cannot reach consensus on a single question, then agree to disagree.
- Please don't change your individual answers since we'd like baseline data on your first attempt.
- Everyone keep track of your group's answer sheet on the back of your own answer sheet.
- Finish in 60 minutes.
